About the competition

The international music competition named after the excellent pianist and teacher Samary Ilyich Savshinsky has been held in St. Petersburg annually since 2009. Over the past years, several thousand young musicians from more than 40 countries have participated in the competition. In 2021 — In 2023, it was held only in an online format, and in the coming 2024 it will take place in both versions — live and online.

Live & Online — two independent contests

This year you can choose the format of the competition depending on your preferences and capabilities. The competition will be held in live format in St. Petersburg from January 30 to February 4, 2024. To participate in the online competition you need to send a link to your videos (by January 30). These recordings will be published on your personal pages on this website, and your performance will not only be appreciated by a professional jury, but also heard by a wide audience. The winners of both competitions are awarded laureate diplomas of the First, Second and Third Prizes, and a diploma without laureate. The remaining competitors receive certificates of participation. There are also diplomas for teachers.

Grand jury

The jury is divided into specialized commissions according to competition categories. Its members include famous performers, professors and teachers from Russia, Sweden, the USA, Germany, Belgium, Serbia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Finland, Austria, and China.

Feedback

We want to make your participation in the competition as useful as possible for your creative and professional growth. During the competition, you can get feedback and recommendations from the jury members. We also organize master classes which you can take if interested.
